To be fair, Sainsbury’s responded very quickly to this – it was the behaviour of an individual, not of the company.  On the flip side, a company is responsible in law for the actions of its employees even if they are against company policy.  The saddest thing is we live in a country where some people feel entitled to make such objectionable remarks.
